Nature Calls Style (W.I.P)
 

This style isn't and won't be for public release and it's being submitted for preview, suggestions and/or critque purposes only. :)

Anyway, Myself (designer) and Mercury (coder/plugin developer) some lazy git have been working on this style for a while though we have been taking long breaks from it and returning to it for short periods but before I finialize the style and do further tweaking I would like some feedback from the community.

The style is based off my previous (Nature Calls summer) which I found a little too bright and prominent so I went for a saturated look with softer duller colours. In it's current state, I still need to work on some icons and the forum Display areas (amongst other areas) and the new (Catergory Column Plugin) is still being developed as we speak with a preview 5 latests script yet to be finished.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, I would like to hear your thoughts, suggestions, comments & critisms about this style so I can finalize it (on my part)

Note!! I'm going to leave the style up for 2 days and then disable it pending on the comments which are brought forth by the community so I can finally complete it. :D

Its half wood like colors, half glassy icons and a little dash of cartoony stuff...

Needs to be just one. I say lose the image database icons at least. Look out of place in the gloomy setting...

The "saturated" look was intentional. But I agree with you about the icons (database icons) and will be redesigned and changed.

Well, I happen to LOVE the cartoony stuff! The flowers and ladybugs are just adorable!!

I just don't care for the mustardy-yellow and brown colors. If there were cooler, crisper greens and blues, that would be most excellent!

It seems that the saturated look isn't going down to well. :D My original nature calls style was alot more vibrant hence the title "nature calls _summer" but I found it to bright, well, too bright for me.

I've gave it some thought and I'll duplicate the style and look into re-colouring it.

Yes, The ladybugs and flowers will remain and when I find my pen for the graphics tablet I'm planning on designing more insects and other nature theme icons to give it more life.

The flowers are duplicates of each other (I became lazy) so each flower/leaf constructed and designed for the updated style will be different and have that unique shape which I should have done from the start. :)

A night setting isnt the best for summer. Looks like it jumped out of Legend of Zelda more than anything else.

PS: I wish i had your graphic expertise :(
