Second Avatar

I only allow paid members to have avatars.

However, I would like everyone to be able to upload avatars that are used in just a directory listing style setup I coded.

Is there a way to have secondary avatars that are private?

Perhaps you could utilize the Profile Picture as your "second avatar", setting size restrictions to fit your relevant needs? This is, of course, assuming you're not already using the profile picture for something else..

Good idea but we are already utilizing profile pictures as well.

Thanks for the suggestion but I really want a image that they upload to our server and auto resizes like the avatar function does.
