My smilies don't even show in the editor

The little smile guy is in the tool bar by the font color drop down like usual, but they do not show up to the right of the editor, or below it. I have reverted all templated to stock. I even added a blank skin with no edits, but they still don't show. Any idea why? I've tried moving them below the editor to see if they show there, but they don't.

Make sure there are smiles two show.

I have a lot of smilies. They work on one of the old skins I had installed, but not the default one or any I add as a child of the default. And they are enabled in the control panel.

I got them to appear by a link under the text box, but can't get the smilies to show up right there in the text editor.

Any other ideas?

I reimported the smilies and that worked.

ACP - Smilies - Add New Smilies.

In the box make at the bottom sure you have the smilie category selected and press Add Smiles.

I'll try that, thank you.

The smilies were already there, it found no new ones, and that didn't make them show in the posts. Thanks for your effort though. I appreciate the attempted help.

admincp>vboptions>message posting interface options.

Make sure the value in the smiliebox total smilies is set to whatever you want it to be and not at zero.

It's 10 there. Thanks for trying guys. It's some weird glitch I guess. Anyone else have ideas? It works on the old skin I had installed with a lot of template edits and what not, but not in a clean style, or any style I install now.

I copied the contents from the following templates in the old style
editor_smilebox
&
editor_toolbar_on

Those control the smilies, but even when I take the code from the working template and copy it to the non working one, nothing changes.

An update... the "editor_smilebox" was misspelled it should have been "editor_smiliebox" That fixed it. Thanks for the help guys.
