Do i need to purchase...? (mod qu)
 

a mod that restricts a user from entering a certain area of the forum before they've posted at least x amount of times. Or is there a way to do this through the admin panel?

no need to purchase.. there is a lot of related releases about this kind of feature here... don't buy such script if they are free here...

could you point me in the direction of one on this forum? i know i've gota register my vbulletin license before downloading and whatever, im just not sure what keywords im looking for when using the search bar. thanks

You can easily do this with default vbulletin features. They are called usergroup promotions.

Sorry to barge in, but just keep in mind, that is only if your running 3.6x.

I have some friends who bought vB, and ran 3.5. Another reason to run 3.6, its more secure!

If you're starting a new forum, there isn't a reason for you to not run 3.6....unless if you really desperately need a hack that only works on 3.5.
