Post Count in thread per page

Hi All,

I'm looking for a variable or a way of finding out how many posts there are on a particular page of a thread.

I know $post[postcount] gives you the total number of posts in the thread, but how do i find out how many posts apprar on a particular page of a thread.

Any help appreciated.
