Option to view threads from other forums in Main Forum

On the site www.genmay.com the "gold" members have this awesome option. Basically you can select from any of the other forums and have the threads from there show up in the main forum. The reason is you can view only the forums you want all in one place. It's a really nice add-on and I haven't seen anything like it for 3.6.x. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I can explain in greater detail if need be.

I've attached a couple screenshots to show what I'm talking about. One is the forum selection menu, and the other is how they appear in the main forum.
