Improved results in google
 

Is there a way to improve the descriptions google spiders obtain from threads on your site.
My first few results from vb on google did not look promising:

Basically I'm saying how do u hide the user details part to search engines and make them take content from the actual thread itself; something like this:

Call of Duty 4 - first details - Surface Ripple
The first crop of official Modern Warfare information explodes right in our face.
We've seen the trailer, and the silence has finally been broken with the first official details...

*I know there is the archive feature but I fear being penalized for duplicate content.
*I know there is vbseo but I don't have the money at the moment to install it.

Any alternatives?
