background gradient
 
n00b question:

how do I make a background gradient that fades from dark to lighter all the way from the top of browser window to the very bottom.

when I tried it ... it faded part way down then repeated after my gradient image ended (ie: how do I make the last color repeat to bottom so it "stretches to the browser height)?

Change the background color to match the bottom color of the gradient in css.
