Which domain to go with for my forum? please help

Hey guys well I run a fitness/bodybuilding forum and was thinking of moving the forum over to another domain.

The forum I have now is Bodybuilding & Fitness Community - Talk Fitness and the domain I'm thinking of moving it to is www.thebodybuildingsite.com , what do you guys think is a better overall domain for everything?

I don't have any active members on talkfitness so this is why I'm thinking of moving it over to www.thebodybuildingsite.com calling it that instead.

So please lets hear your opinions.

Thanks.http://www.vbseo.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

talkfitness covers everything fitness related, whereas the body building site covers just body building.

I guess it depends on who you want to market the site to?

Personally I prefer talkfitness :)

Yeah your right, it looks like I'll stay with TalkFitness.

Also while I'm responding, what style do you think is better for a fitness forum?

1- The one I currently have at my forum

or

Thanks :)

The one you have seems ok :)

But I would always suggest a custom design for any site - it's what will make you stand out more than anything.

What you have to think about also is this. Which domain name would be most search for. Firtness or Bodybuilding as a keyword.

I own a domain called: bodybuildingcommunity.com

But I don't have a site online for it, but still own the domain for 10 years. I can tell you though it was getting quite a lot of hits when it was online for a short time, I think because the bodybuilding part in the domain name is a well searched for keyword. So weigh up, which name you think will gets the most hits based on a search. Fitness or bodybuilding. I'd always go with a .com first anyhow.

You can always add a General Fitness category if you went with the bodybuilding domain. I'm a bit suprised you've not been more popular on your site to be honest.

Yes, thank you for you advice on this, that is a great domain you own for a bodybuilding forum, but I have decided to stay with talkfitness.org because of the fact I have the domain tfit.org short for TalkFitness plus I was thinking of creating an actual site for thebodybuildingsite.com .

What do you mean by?

<a href="http://www.talkfitness.com" target="_blank">www.talkfitness.com</a>

Sounds much more better.

Yeah somewhat because I want this to be a organization, as well that domain name is taken.
