http://arcticwebservices.com hosts me. They are pretty good but have wicked support.

you could try 1and1, i own a shared hosting package and an actual root server package

1&1's Shared Hosting Options

I dont know how their dedicated servers are but I've read terrible things about 1&1 on WHT. As for streaming live sports.... how do you intend to do that ? i.e. do you have the relevant permissions / licenses in place ?

I just move to dreamhost.com and they are awesome in using them in the last few days. Powweb gave me a headache and experienced very little down time. The support has been fast. I signed up for that 555 deal and I got 500 gb of space with 5.12tb of bandwidth for 9 bucks a month. Anyways, give them a shot. I like them because they have a 97 guarantee and your account is setup really quick.

9 bucks for 500gb space and 5.12tb BW thats got to be some serious overselling?

when you're hosting forums, NEVER look for a "deal" first, thats a sure shot way to ensure you're jumping blindfolded into the sea of uncertainty. Make sure your webhost can support your forum through its growth, THEN work out a deal.
