E-Mailing

I run a forum that currently has around 24,000 members and everytime I try to send an e-mail to them all my server crashes, and I'm screwed what do you suggest I do? I've tried lowering the amount to send at a time but still screws me over at the same ammount.

1. Try and upgrade your server, if you're on a dedi, or get a dedicated server with at least a PIV 3Ghz + 2 - 4 GB RAM
2. How many are you sending at a time? Try 500 per turn?
