Best Chat??

What's the best free chat that can be loaded on the 3.6.5 mod??

Search vBShoutbox or Flashchat
View those screen shots in the threads, whichever suits your needs

What is the best pay chat program?

Are there any that allow you to keep your vb user name? Not have to login again?

It seems flashchat is a third party product. I will go look at vbshout, but i thought this was not real time.

Thanks,

vBShout refreshes with AJAX every 10 seconds, so it's pretty close. Dream's Chatbox is real similar to this, and is actually less resource intensive compared to the one Zero Tolerance released on vbulletin.org.

Flashchat is third party, and Paul M released a real nice integration for Flashchat.

It all really depends on what you want. Compare them all, and see which one fits best for your site.

+1 for Flashchat, it's been working great for me for over a year now. For $5, you can't beat it. I toss it in a webtemplate:

(Pardon the ugly tags box, working today to get that out of there)

Flashchat is great. I've installed it on several forums, and it works well.
Flasherize is also a great chat software if you want just a basic chatroom.
