Group Bitfield question

If I simpily set a bitfield in the group memberships, can I just use $vboptions[optionname] or is it more complicated than that?
I have recently found out that the ACP stuff is fairly easier than I thought. :cool:

Okay, I figured out the setting up part of the stuff, can someone tell me how to use the permissions set in the Usergroup manager?
Is it like:
