hey basicly ive tryed adding the invite script as the next page in the registration

basicly ive put the code from the invite template into the registration complete phrase

BUT doesnt fully work check
http://thedesichill.com/forum/register.php?do=addmember

can anyone help me out at all please :)
want it to work and go to invite straight after people have registerd

its not realy much to do with the addon, basicly i just want to be able to control where the registration page redirects after a user submits

so they fill in the form, click submit and then it registers them and redirects to a page of my choice
basicly skipping the complete registraton and goin to a diff page

DementedMindz 05-09-2007 10:00 PM

ask the invite script thread thats how you get help ;)

Aur-Phala.Com 05-09-2007 10:09 PM

ah but this is for general vb

basicly how to be able to use variables in that phrase

DementedMindz 05-09-2007 10:15 PM

yeah true but the author of the hack would be able to help you better as most people may not use it or have no clue how to since it not installed.

Aur-Phala.Com 05-09-2007 10:21 PM

ah ok understandable but basicly my question is how to use globals, variables of any kind including php in phrases

kall 05-09-2007 10:35 PM

Granted, I have no real idea what variables you are talking about but..

Would it not be possible to just make the redirect at the end of do=addmember go to 'the invite script' rather than to the little box that tells people their registration is complete?

(You want people to invite others immediately after they have registered? Before they have had any chance whatsoever to see what your site is about?)

Aur-Phala.Com 05-09-2007 10:37 PM

ye thats basicly how i want it :)
erm how do i redirect the do=addmember to "the invite scrpt"

i did a redirect on the complete registration phrase
BUT when it redirects it asks u 2 login, no way for them to be logged in straight away

lebanon 05-10-2007 02:25 PM

Aur-Phala, it asks them to login or permission denied ? because since you are talkin about my addon,
considering a new registration is (awaiting email confirmation group) , have you given this group access to the addon ?

Aur-Phala.Com 05-10-2007 02:31 PM

we dont require activation on registration. basicly just want ur invite script to be like step 2 of registration
