Administrator can choose with what account he wants to post
I would love a hack where and member of the administrator group could choose which username he would want to use when posting. GARS has a feature like this, but it's only for GARS, not for normal forums.
Some of you might wonder what the benefits of this would be. I think this hack would KICK ASS when starting a new forum. You wouldn't have to jump between accounts, you could just post as much as you want and discuss with your self. I predict this would make it 90% easier for a webmaster to start a new forum. Just make 10 accounts, install this hack and post you ass off. You like? |
I could see other benefits for this.
I own & admin a few different forums, and I quite often don't want to particiapte as the owner, but just moderate. Why? I don't want my users to think that I have an unfair advantage, so the normal user can participate, and they don't know it. The only workaround I have now is to use Firefox for the one account, and IE for the other. Even running Opera @ the same time, not logged in (acting as a Guest), I could easitly test different permissions on the threads :) |
