Counting Clicks / phpAdsnew

Im using the random banner script over @ vB.com and would like to know if there's a way I could keep track on the amount of clicks each banner has?

Also on another note, what is phpAdsnew like?

I currently charge X amount a month to place an advert for a month on my site (unlimited clicks etc), but wondering if I should use a type of ads programme like phpAdsnew for pay per click or something like that.

Anyone shed any light?

Cheers

I've been using phpAdsnew for about a year and I love it! I use it on serveral sites including my VB forum - http://www.extremebusa.com - and it works perfectly. I have every paying sponsor banner setup and phpAdsnew sends a stats email to the sponsors outlining all the details of their banner stats (you can choose when you want the email sent... every 7 days, 14 days, etc). You can also add "weight" to a banner, or specify how many times per day/week/month it will be displayed. I recommend phpAdsnew 100%!

How do you manage those users?

I mean, how do they sign up? Is it a manual process? Once signed up, how do you invoice / bill them?
How do they add banners?
Can they change existing banners?
What happens if they want to take out a 12 month "contract"?

Because I use different prices for different sponsors I couldn't find a turn-key solution. So I simply have the sponsor us recurring billing through Paypal. Each sponsor has their own payment page like this.

Yes... you can designate the PHPAdsnew to allow the sponsor access to their own banner for changes.

Yes... it's manual for you. There isn't a hack for phpAdsnew that makes the process automatic. At least I never found one.

How did you get the Random thumbs and the Advert tables in your portal page? I need to learn how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

They're just modules mate.

I run photoplog with this mod:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=103839

And the advert is another module, however it just uses BB code and pasted a image link to the picture.

All my ads are done manually....they send me the pic...ftp...stick code in template.

Hope that helps
