what hosting should i get
 

i need the cheapest deadicated hosting service to support the type of bandwith im going to be running.. i was running straight from my localhost but it doesnt allow that many connections...maybe about 20 people are allowed to connect but then my comp is really slow...possibly hosting that offers a free domain

actually you request a "dedicated" hosting... seriously, just from a local host in your computer to a dedicated one, i'm not sure you really need it for 20 or more members online... below 250 online users would be useless to have dedicated, or you really have a lot of cash to spend...

dedicated can be 200$/month and a regular host for a small forum can be like 10$/month

Having a lot of people online at once shouldn't slow your actual computer down?

I would say 20 concurrent users online on his pc would slow it down some
You have to think there also at least browsing and using resources let alone his connection.
His connection would perhaps make the PC seem slower than what it actually is though!
