Emergency: About banning user with IP?
 

Hi i have got one user which sending swearing PMs to our users, I have banned him about 30 times with ip address, he is chenging his ip addresses and regisetering again, i think he use proxy ips, is there any mod for this to ban from real ip?

wow lets just hope this member runs out of e-mails and pisses off, i hate when this happenes.
there is a hack that mite work im un-sure but is easy to find in "mods"Add-ons

Set it so people have to activate there account when they sign up, it might not stop him, but it will slow him down some.

The issue is alot of ISP's change your IP everytime you restart your PC. The best counter is to install the Miserable User hack he wont know whats wrong.

I have allready tryed this but he opened gmail account, so he puts dot betweeen the letters, and he openes many accounts easilly.

I have installed one hack, which converts proxy to real ip, it is not working or i dont know how it works.. Then i have installed one hack it is blocking users on registeration when they used proxy ip..

What about just restricting the use of PMs for new members? This can be done simply with usergroups. That way you will at least get a leg up on him before he starts spamming.

eta: oh and is it feasible to moderate new members? Might be a bit more work on your part, but at least you'd keep him off the boards.

It is now OK i think, he can not access using proxy ip, if he use real ip then we will ban it

The best way to do that would be with user promotions at 50 posts to a group that doesn't have:
