Help me find the right mod
Hi, I'm new to vBulletin and this place looks like a wealth of information. I'm encouraged by all the mods available and the general support for vb.
I was hoping you could point me in the right direction for a mod/mods that would best meet my needs. I used a Portal/CMS system prior, but I'm not sure if I really need a full-blown CMS. Here's basically what I want to do: - The main forums are of course the most important aspect of the site. - But additionally, would like to have: ....articles ....links ....recipes (I guess can be handled with an articles system) ....downloads (zip files and what not). - Ideally, it would be a simple menu system at the top of the forum that can be easily accessed at any time while browsing the forums. I've seen portal add-ons (like vbadvanced) but they look to be more of a modulized layout of forum content for a "front page." That's cool too, and I may use it, but I'm looking for something at the top of the forums for ease of navigation. Thoughts? Advice? Would love to get feedback and any examples. Thanks. |
