Same Members Table - Different Instance of vBulletin
Hey all,
I am trying to explore this. Same Member table - Different instance of Vbulletin i.e. You can login to any of the forum instances but the content is different in terms of its skin, UserCP, Calendar, FAQ, Members List, Search Function, Help, Quick Links, etc. Reason for doing this is to have a consolidated membership database while each forum returns its unique content and look/feel. Appreciate if anyone can share any experience or thoughts on doing so. Thanks and have a great day ahead. KKJ:) |
Firstly, do you have 2 vBulletin licenses?
Secondly, yes, it is possible to hack vBulletin in such a way that it will only check through one user table. |
Hi,
we currently owns one license of vBulletin and if we are able to do as intended, we will purchase subsequent licenses for the other forums. Would you have the steps or theory behind:D how to do the hacking? Thanks. Regards, KKJ |
Basically, find the root of the user login check and change the table they use.
