News Reader with RSS Feeds - For Dummies

Please click Mark as Installed if you use this modification >>>>

Seriously, I got tired of trying to figure out how to get the news I wanted on my site that provided the whole story and not just a description or a feed that was nothing more than a ?disguised ad? for another site, so I located a Google Map Reader, acquired permission to use the program and wrote a ?modification for vb.?

Files to edit: 0
Queries to run: 0
Uses Product: Yes
Template Edits: 1

Testing:
I have tested this on 3.5.x and 3.6.x and it works fine on both. 3.6.x users follow this link:

VbGoogleNews 3.6.X version 1.0.2

What this program does:
This is a Google Map with interactive pins on each continent. Access is gained via the navbar.

Usage:
Select the location on the map that you?d like by dragging mouse, click on pin until you locate the exact country, region, local area you desire and the news will appear. Click on article and a new window will display story; members never leave your site.

Changelog

v1.0.1 working version
v1.0.2 minor corrections to page link

Both the reader and RSS Feeds is remotely hosted and they do the upgrades, therefore, I can?t think of any improvements necessary, but feel free to make suggestions and/or provide file(s), translate to another language, whatever!

Wow this look pretty sweet, I will have to install this when I return from training next week.

Can you post a screenshot of what this hack looks like for admincp?

I think I am a little confused. Unless you are asking to see a screenshot of the two locations you access via the admincp, which is: Styles & Templates ==> style manager ==> Edit Templates == > Navbar so you can add a link to the page,

or

Plugins & Products ==> manage products ==>add/import product so you can see how to upload the product

There are no pictures/screenshots to view regarding how the admincp will appear after the installation since this ?hack? doesn?t add any additional menu items. :)
