Data caching
Can someone briefly explain how this works and what is needed to it up.
Do i need a seperate server? More ram? bigger drives? I'm starting to get upwards of 600-800 people online during peak hours, and am trying to find ways to alleviate some server stress short of upgrading to a new server. (Currently on a woodcrest 12GB ram, SCSI 10k disks) Database is currently on seperate machine where the load is never above 1 so i realize thats probably not the bottle neck. Attachments are approching about 40GB in total, with 172,580 seperate attachments, so i've got those on a seperate disk. (Would love to find out how to host them on a seperate server) Most modifications have been removed, short of Arcade, and VBA. Any help is appreciated. |
With these frontend server specs you should be able to handle much more than 600-800 online users. Did you go through the optimization procedure?
