wluke I really like your search2.php file that you use to find the new posts from a specific forum, do you think you could share this file with us?
|
He did release it somewhere around here :) just search for his username and "search" or something.
|
After 30 minutes searching :p
I found this waht I believe to be it: http://vbulletin.com/forum/showthrea...t=search+forum |
Hmm that seems to be a modification of the search.php where at sitepoint wluke is using a file called search2.php
I wonder why, if the search.php works then why use a search2.php? Perhaps it's easier for upgrades? Only wluke can answer that I guess :) |
That is what he's using, he just didn't post a file. Just copy that code into a file and name it search2.php :)
|
Ok I got it to work, I did the changes he suggested on that thread and named the file search2.php it worked great!
Reason I did that is so I can upgrade with out worries, and that's probably the same reason why wluke did it ;) Thanks wluke for the great hack btw! |
That is why I did it. If it is in a new file, it won't get overwritten every upgrade. For a while, I was upgrading SPF daily if not more often.
