IE Issue

I have a problem with the coding on my site, I expect. It's either in the showthread.php or showpost.php. I personally can't code PHP and I'm needing some assistance on how to correct this. I hope someone has seen this before and can tell me how to fix it.

What happens is when some is viewing a list of Threads then click the Title to open it. The thread page loads only the header before having this pop-up.

I think it may have something to do with the fact I changed my index.php to forum.php. I done this as I don't wish the index.php to display the forum.

Thanks,
Greg

Did you reflect this change both in the actual file name of index.php and in the admin cp under

vbulletin options --> Forum Home Page Options

Ultimative 04-22-2007 07:56 PM

Yes I have changed the Admin CP option to 'forum' nothing else as it states.

See, we have edited the forum completely and accurately to reflect the change of these links and all links behind the actual page.

My opinion is that there is an error somwhere in the body as greg said, the header loads before the body shuts off with an error.

Actually iv'e seen the error. Profiles.mybobba.com/showthread.php?p=8598

The P should be the T

I don't know if this is the problem but i'm sure it should be a t not a p

You can also use p, which refers to the postid.

Time for a good old debug. ;)

Make a new style via the admincp and see if you get the error when using it. If you don't then there is a problem in one of your templates in the main style. If that is the case then you'll need to start reverting templates to figure out which one it is (my advice is to do this with a third style based on your main style).

Yeah, it works with another template, i suggest you look at my thread located here:
