Moving Content from one forum to another

Ok, first off when I type "merge forums" all I get is information about merging two different databases together. Not what I want. The term "forum" discusses the whole superstructure of a forum, the same term also describes each "forum" inside the "forum" ... hard to explain sometimes.

What I want to do:
I want to move the content from a Child Forum to the parent forum. Not easy to do in 3.6.5. The help files show a "Move Content" feature, but I don't see this in the menu. Anyone give me some advice?

If you talking about moving a forum go to your ACP> Forums and Moderator> Forum Manager. Then find the forum you want to move, click edit. Then were the drop down box is by parent just move it, to make it a catagory, put "No One", and make the "Act as Forum" to "No".

If your trying to move a post or thread, simply click the check box next to it in your forum, scroll down to "Moderation", then either move threads or merge them.

Hope that helped.

I have a child forum with content that I want to merge into the parent forum.

For example:
Reading Forum
-- Book Forum

I want to move all of the content from "book forum" into "Reading forum" and delete book forum when I'm done.

The Forum Manager help inside vBulletin shows these options, but I don't see them in my version of the software.

"Add Announcement: Allows you to add an announcement to this forum. (see Adding Announcements)

Move Contents: You can quickly move all the posts from the selected forum into another forum.

Empty Forum: Selecting this will (after confirmation) remove all the threads in a forum."

I can't find that Move Contents feature. :-(

Anyone? It looks like this functionality moved from one location to another in the system, is that right?

Did this functionality drop away?
