OKay well I was trying to get members to my site, Via AIM, and then I had these conversation, which kinda scared me, I dont know if he was just messing with me or not.

After reading this I have two questions.
1.) Is my site really that easy to hack, and if so how can I make it safier.

2.) Is there such thing as a firwall for my site, and how would I even install that.

If you don't have any mods installed, you're fine with vbulletin.

Vbulletin is only as safe as your server.

Theres a lot of "hackers" out there. Well, who call themselves hackers.

I just checked out your site.. EEEK! You have that thing all mod'd up. Is there really a reason for all those stats, etc when it isn't an active forum yet? IMO, People like clean, quick forums..

you have 18 members and like 1000 forums... why?

I might not have alot of members but I do have posts for all the forums. Members will come hopefully, and when they do there will be plenty for them to do. Thats one of the things I hear alot, people register, then there like, "now what". Well there is enough there to do.

P.S. Do you think I should hide some forums from the guests?

Poser. 99.99999% of them are posers. If they get lucky they read about some security flaw on the net before vbulletin gets a patch out, and they get into a few sites to do some defacing. Other than that, yawn.

DoS attacks on you hosting service is really all you have to worry about, and if you have a good hosting service they'll deal with that for you. You'll know if you have a bad hosting service because they'll just shut you down saying your site is overloading.
