Assign Member Group to Search Engine Bots/Spiders?
 

Hi everyone (this is a great forum, good to be here!). :)

I've recently converted one of my forums from IPB 2.2.2 to vB 3.6.5 and loving it!

On IPB, it was possible to assign and set a configured user/member group which we could force all Search Engine Spiders/Bots to use.

This was very convenient as even though Guests may not have been able to read parts of the forum and topic content, we could allow the bots/spiders to read it, with positive results in search engine results.

Now I know vB doesn't do this by default, so apologies if I've missed any mods, but is there a modification/add-on/plugin available here to recreate this?

Thanks cyberphr - I'd just spotted that thread after I posted here; unfortunately it looks quite old and the only one I can see too. :)
