I have had my site since 2003 and it just seems to get slower and slower.
I dont think its a style or server issue, I have a striped down fastloading style and it still dont seem fast and I had over 88 pepole on the site at once and it didnt seem to slow the site down anymore than it already is pluse when i dl big files from the server it seems preety damm fast so Im just wondering if you guys can point me in the right derection to trouble shot and get more speed and please dont tell me to get rid of the shout box, I know it puts a load on the site but it was running alote faster last year and I had shout.
also I notice the quick links on my site donr always work any ideal on that why your helping lol

Are you on shared hosting? If so, I would advise contacting your host for a resolution.

I dont think its a host problem, I think its all the hacks I have and stuff

It might be hacks. Your best bet to find that out is to disable all hacks and see if that makes a difference.

If you are on shared hosting, it may make an effect, because it's not just your site on the server, but someone else might be using up all teh resources on the server, thus causing your site to be considerably slower. If it doesn't end up being your hacks, you will want to contact your host and ask them to check to see who is using up the resources so they can handle it from there, or upgrade your plan.... or find another host.

fast striped down style loads 56K 29.75 seconds
my defaul coustom style loads 56K 64.89 seconds
my defalt with all products disabled loads 56K 61.06 seconds
any ideals?

contact your host but i dont think they will tell you who is all on the server...

The sounds like a server issue like CPU cycles and ram is being eaten. A fast dl does not mean an empty server it takes nothing to dl a file, however to process some 30+ queries to the DB can be much more stressfull.

No you probably will not find out who is on the box with you, but you should be able to find how how many sites share the space.
