3rd party app integration.
 

I recently stumbled across this application called "Democracy Broadcast Machine" http://www.getdemocracy.com/broadcast/

It is a very NEAT idea that allows users to upload video to your site, and then download (using bit torrent) or watch right on your site.

Also, video's can be hosted on other (even free) hosting sites, and TONS of other neat features. Also, the code of this software is open-source GPL.

Please take a look. I would LOVE to see someone come out with a way to integrate this into vBulletin forums.

Looks like a bandwidth consumer! So you better watch out for that if your a shared and not VPS.

My site is actually spread across several dedicated servers.

Two of the things that I liked about this software were that:
1) people download files using torrents (shared downloading versus direct from you)
2) videos can be hosted on other sites (or servers)

So actually, I think it's optimized to SAVE bandwidth more than hog it.

I guesss *moans*

Just use vBA CMPS and make a new page, then kinda copy and paste the crutial code? :D
