Moderate after posts are posted?

Hi,

I'd like to moderate my board by having a team of moderators review posts after they have been posted and released to the membership. I need a way for them to mark each post to say if it has been approved by the moderator (other attributes would be handy, such as "need help" or the moderators comments) and then a search feature to allow moderators to find all unapproved posts. Ideally, approving the posts should be a 1-click ajax control with limited page refresh. Note that this needs to be tracked on a Post-level and not a Thread-level.

The appearance to the general membership should be the same whether the post has been reviewed by a moderator or not, (though it might be nice if there was a flag that said it was reviewed or not).

Are there any hacks available to that would help with this?

Thanks!

I'm looking for such a function, too. Does anyone release such a hack in the meantime?

well if you just set the user group setting to i dont know exactly what it is off the top of my head but it should be

user can post unmoderated posts i think

check that to NO and then every post they make will have to be moderated before others can see them

unless the others have user group setting that allow them to see and/or moderate unmoderated posts

hope that helps ya

I think you must be smokin too much of that stuff! ;)

The idea is to all users to post in an un-moderated fashion (and let them become public) and then go back and moderate them, while keeping track of which posts have been reviewed which ones haven't so that the moderators can only review the un-reviewed ones.

However, I am going to take another tack. I plan to boost the functionality and appearance the the current flag post option to prompt for flag type (spam, formatting, best of, etc) and an then to have that form post to a moderator only category (using the "contact us to forum" hack. I plan to add the functionality to post to a different forum by flag type and to pass along the postid so I can track the post that is being reported.

If anybody is interested in such a hack, and you are willing to contribute programming or bucks, please let me know!

Thanks!

I actually wrote a hack similar to what you are asking for only it verifies threads, not posts. Unfortunately, I couldn't use ajax because the two forums I need the mods to verify the content of the threads in are forums I need to have ajax disabled in. Someone else was interested in doing a post verification like you are talking about. Here's the thread he was talking in: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ghlight=verify

I'm also looking for something similar to what bchertov is looking for.

bchertov, can you please update on this if you have found or coded what you were looking for?

No progress yet. It should be simple, just a post level field for "reviewed?"
