Multiple Sites With 1 Database
 

For some reason I can't post in Pre Sales but perhaps this is a good place. One of my contact emails matches the one I have here but no matter.

I'd like to have VB running on different sites and share a single database. I'd like all the posts, users and forums to be the same but simply have a different skin for each site.

I understand that I'd need a VB license for each site and that's fine.

I already have a VB license and it's the best product so I'd like to keep using it. I know there are some phpBB hacks to do this but that's a security issue just waiting to be breached.

Is this possible?

Has it been done before?

What's the cost/pain threshold for it? :)

Why not just have different domains point to the same place? I am sure there is or could be a mod to make it where depending on what url you come in through, what style you will see.

It will actually be 5 different people on 5 different servers sharing one MySQL Database. We'll all use different skins. and different styles.

The support at the other VB forum suggested that it would take some mods that they don't support.
