I want to make sure its ok to delete the "Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.4" at the bottom of my forum.
And to Keep "Copyright ©2000 - 2007, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd." A friend did this change for me....I want to make sure he didn't infringe on something. |
I'm afraid not, from my interpretation.

The only thing you can remove without paying the branding-free fee is the version number.

Ok then. I'm not sure what VBulletin Discussion Board I was reading last week, when I did a quick step by step search for the "Powered by vBulletin? Version 3.6.5" and removed it, because I understood that thread to say as long as I left "Copyright ?2000 - 2007, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. " I'd be ok.
Anyway. Can you give me a quick step-bye-step on putting it back??? Where am I able to go in, search it, and add it back? Thanks again! Tomc. |
You can remove the "Powered by vBulletin" that appears at the top of your browser and the version number in the footer. Rest remains intact.
|
In the style manager, go to the footer template, and click view original. You can search that to find out where it was originally.
|
The minimum copyright in the footer without the Branding Free option is:
vBulletin, Copyright ?2000 - [year of most recent vBulletin release], Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. |
