Is this legal or illegal?
Hey,
Just wondering, if i was to make a bulk modified version of vBulletin and i posted only the files .php files that were edited, i wont post the ones that were not touched and i posted a SQL dump for people in this forums only, would it be illegal? Because it is kinda 75% redistributing, but its only to licensed customers... So is it alright or is it not? Thanks, Jay! P.S Steal my idea and ill crack a can of whoop ass on yo' *Chuck Norris style* |
Morally, i'd say yes. In practice, it depends what Jelsoft thinks.

No, that is not okay. Please check the rules: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/info.php?do=rules

I think you could release it here as a modification.

No way, no how, and just in case it still isn't clear, no, it is not okay to post vBulletin files. Case closed. Thank you.
