Super Moderator

I was wondering if there was a way that I could limit my super moderators so that they can't have moderator permissions in one forum? Just want to disable the delete posts, and close threads, and all that for ONE forum...not the whole website!

Thanks!

login as admin and choose 'forum permissions' from the left menu. then choose which forum you want to edit the permissions of.

Yeah I have tried that...it only affects moderators...not Super Moderators.

In your situation, I ended up making all my super mods normal mods of all my catagories.

Are you sure you went to USERGROUPS>FORUM PERMISSIONS?

it should look something like this for EACH forum

General ( [Reset] [Deny All] )
[Edit] (COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation
[Edit] Administrators
[Edit] Banned Users
[Edit] Moderators
[Edit] Registered Users
[Edit] Super Moderators
[Edit] Unregistered / Not Logged In
[Edit] Users Awaiting Email Confirmation

If you press EDIT on Super Moderators it will affect you Super Moderators and they will not have access to that forum. You can select any kind of access you want for the Super moderators. Make sure you are selecting the correct YES/NO options I bet your problem lies there.

Sorry to revive this but I can't figure it out. If I go to that forum permissions screen there aren't any options regarding moderation? Does he mean we should stop super moderators from viewing any forums we don't want them to moderate? That's not fair!

When you use the forum permission manager you can only stop them from opening/closing their own threads not other peoples..

Would this work with access masks?
