Operating System CentOS 4 (32 bit) is what I use on mine.

CentOS is a terrific distro. I run it on several production servers.

I have always used CentOS. Last server was 32-bit, but when I moved to the two server configuration, I went with 64-bit on the advice over at vb.com

Thanks for the comments :)

I was thinking of going with CentOs anyway due to the good reviews but wasnt sure on the 32/64 bit.

Also what do you think of the specs for the price :)

yeh distance CentOS is the most reccommended for running cpanel,

The specs are very good for the price i would say,
2Gb ram 250Gb hdd and a dual core opteron! the sound of that sounds amazing ;)

maybe you want to have another harddrive or RAID? Also, Red Hat is for free.

Distance 04-19-2007 11:28 PM

They are all for free when you are spending that much on a server :)
