Quickly add a subscription to all of the threads a user has participated in?

I have a number of users that didn't select 'subscribe to thread with email notification' when they signed up. They've since updated their preferences but would like to add a subscription to all of the threads that they've participated in. Is there a a mySQL command I can run to do this?
