I am using 3.6.5 and the registered users are exceeding my attachment requirements. Here is how I set the up. I went into the ACP, Attachments, and set all pictures to a max 600x600 with a 200kb size limit. The reason they are set to such a small size, is because I have a side bar and the bar is pushed off the screen.

People have been uploading pictures exceeding 500kb and 1200px wide. I have to go back and re-upload them myself, which is quite time consuming. Anything I am missing?

Have you double checked the Attachment Permissions for your usergroups?

I have... Not sure what to do in that section other than set an overall quota or disable uploading privileges.
