Banners / Advertising..etc...
Hi everyone...
My site has always been a not for profit site. Recently, I've been hit up from a nice handful of people who are willing to pay for ad's on my site. I was hoping what the most profitable and most configurable ad's mod would be. I like the idea of PHPads, but it looks like that only ads a banner. Is it worth using this mod? Also, I have no clue as to what google adsense is but I see it everywhere. Does this really make money? If so, is there a way to get it on my site in such a way where it's not annoying? I would like to start making a few bux on the site, but not at the cost of overwhelming the site with tons of ad's. I think I can do this in a way where everyone can benefit. Thanks for all of your input. BTW... I'm using vbAdvanced with vBulletin 3.6.1, along with vbseo. |
I'm in exactly the same position as you my friend. I run a small non profit site too, I have found Adsense has made me about $50 in the last couple of months, but I also offer advertising to my members and related companies. Recently, there is no demand - Myspace is killing off my site - but in the past selling ad space worked quite well. I just have the one ad at the top of my pages. I use GAB - the best vB banner mod I have tried.

i personally have a commercial hack for "sponsoring" that let you choose one sponsor/advertiser for each forum or category... that expand your possibilities... :)
