Problem with image code in signatures
We are trying to put some images in signatures of this format...where the image is generated by certain parameters that the users put in.
The users have to cut and paste the vb code into their sig. I think I've got all the right permissions set. If I go to my sig and put this code in: The sig appears beautifully when I preview the sig. However, when I save it and try to include it in posts, I get the following: http://www.mysite.com/image/image.php?image=0116062007 Everything works if I chose an image that doesn't have a ? in the address and I get the correct image appearing and it's a hyperlink to the correct url. What setting do I need to change in vBulletin to allow ? in that image code? Or is this a bad idea for security reasons? |
Message posting options | Allow Dynamic URL for [IMG] Tags
Enabling this makes it possible for people to cause certain form submissions and such with image tags, such as making everyone ignore someone. There are ways to avoid the ?, either by URL rewriting if you're using apache or by accessing the URI directly and extracting the image ID. |
thank you! That worked
