How Do I Import/Install Hacks, Upgrades and Applications? Plz Assist.
 

There are some hacks and upgrades I'd love to utilize on my site, but am somewhat green when it comes to this stuff.

Once I've downloaded the program or application in questions, how do I Import and Install it into my site?

I saw something about the "product manager" but am not sure where/what that is.

I'd be very appreciative if someone could give me the quick rundown on what I do to get an application installed and working once I've downloaded it.

Is there somewhere specifically I need to download it to or just anywhere on my hard drive?

I would read the Vbulletin users manual its very informative and has all the answers to your questions and then some.

But basically to import a product you goto the manager then to the bottom and click import. Follow the on screen directions from there. But be careful cause there are different ways of installing hacks other than importing a product.

Yeah, I was checking that out, wasn't real clear on it though and was hoping someone could gimme a bit more info and advice.

Btw, I did find it, just went to "Plugin System > Manage Products > clicked Add/Import Product."

But as long as it's downloaded onto my Hard Drive and is in XML, will it just automatically start working once I've uploaded it?
