How do I format thread titiles?

I want to italicize my thread titles. Vbulletin.com said that this is not a standard feature, but that you folks on .org might be able to help.

thanks,
greg

it is a simple template edit...

you go to your Style Manager, you search to edit the template "threadbit" if you want to edit the title displayed on forumdisplay.php , and you search for "$thread[threadtitle]"... you edit your template the way you like it!

.. we can't help more!

not too good with PHP... is it possible only to italicize select words in a thread title? or would I have to italicize them all.

thanks again.

this is not related to PHP... if you own a vBulletin software, your basics are to be able to navigate in the adminCP... this is a main feature, be able to edit the templates with ease...

if you want only parts of thread titles to be italized, it is impossible, as thread titles are parsed to not contain HTML codes... so the only way is to edit the templates and make all the thread titles to look the same in a page.

that's what i expected. hope you don't mind if i ask you another question while i got you here.

is there anyway to indent just the first line of a new paragraph in a post? it lets me do it in the editor, but then when i look at my post, the formatting doesn't hold. Instead, it left aligns everything.

the indent button indents the whole paragraph and this is not what i want.

thanks,
greg

it could be possible with a CSS edition, but a little more complex than just an italic... identing the first line is possible, like explained here: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_text.asp

but it is not a feature in vB actually.. you will need a template edition to make it so...
