cron based Optimize/repair tables (3.6.5)
 

does anyone know how to make a cron based Optimize/repair tables script.

my forum runs so fast after i run the Optimize/ repair table command that i would like to make it a cron job so it does it itself a couple of times a day.

Ah. There's no reason you should have to do that. If something is messing your tables up that badly you'd be better off looking into the cause.

i know the cause, 1&1 internet hosts :)

there terrible, old faulty technology, crap customer support, constant time outs from there database.

i am moving, but at the mo im waiting for my games host to bring there web hosting online as im there 1st candidate. they have had hardware problems so its been set back 6 months so far.
