Expand the Max FileSize for Attachements
 

Hello. I have a bulletin board. I'd like to expand the File Size for jpeg attachements. When a user goes in to attach a file the max size is 97.7kb.

When I go to the ATTACHMENT MANAGER in my Admin Control Panel.....I go to the jpeg and it states 20,000. If I change this....it doesn't change anything on the site?


Also written within the Attachement Manager is this sentence: "There are several configuration options that limit the maximum size of uploaded files. Consult the Quick Stats on the your main admin cp page for your current settings."

I really haven't changed much in this area...so all my settings should be the original settings. How can I expand the ability of all my user groups to post pictures as jpg attachements up to say 900KB?

The filesize is in bytes. You will need to convert from kilobytes. Here's a great tool i use Bandwidth Calculator. On that site, enter the amount of kilobytes in the text area and look below at the table for the calculations. Make sure you follow the legend on the right of the text area to get the proper results (the size codes are case sensitive)
