are there any communities that do a lot of sales

Anybody know of any communities that allow their members to buy and sell stuff from eachother.

AKA, 5k or more items sold between forum members

nice. you ever think about getting a commission off the sales

Sorry, That one is not my site. I do run a 4x4 site though, and members do sell high dollar vehicles or parts.

To charge a % of the sales price, I think I would have to offer something totally unique and beyond any other site. There are a lot of 4x4 sites where they could sell things for free.

If I was confident I had a site that users were willing to pay a % to sell something, I might be interested.

so do any vbulletin sites do this?

i'm gonna bump this up once more. there has got to be some sort of vbulletin community somewhere that has focused their efforts on a marketplace

honestdave 03-24-2007 05:22 PM

ooooh. www.earnersforum.com has a cool marketplace! i look forward to talking to them.

if you are from earnersforum please drop me a line!

If I was you I wouldn't try to get money from people selling to each other. Becaus eI think it would just kill a successful forum. I would try to do upgrades to items. I believe someone made a classifieds software that integrates with vbulletin that allows you to sell items for free possibily but you can change for extra features.
