Is there a hack to allow MP3s to play in vB but not be downloaded?
 

I run a music site for unsigned artists who want to be able to upload MP3s for people to hear, but don't want people to be able to download them. Is there a way to have the MP3s play inline in the thread, but not allow download...similar to what MySpace uses (Flash or otherwise)?

I've done a search, but haven't seen a hack that espressly states that it does this. I am running vB 3.6.2 .

Anything thats put on the web can be downloaded, somehow. You could stream the music via winamp or possibly though flash, but people cvan get around this too. But as far as I know theres no hack for this :)

Understandable. Is there any way you know of to integrate a player that, say, 95% of the users wouldn't know how to get around? ;) Something that is a little more difficult to figure out than right-click, Save Target As? :)
