Any news Mods?

Well, I tried vBnews but it seems the vbnews.php always has to be in the forums directory, is there any news script that connects to the database and shows the post of the certain forum ID?

IM looking for the same thing, basical What ever is posted in a certain section "News section" can be displayed on my main site in a differnt style.
