Is there a way to make it so I dont have to go thru every style when making template

changes?

My members like a lot of styles....but.....I only like a few for that reason! Every time I install a hack/mod.....I have to go change a lot of templates!

help.

What I do is have a top style called "Layout". I put all my hacks in there. It is not a pickable style. Then I have children styles under it where I just change the CSS for the site. Those are pickable. It works out great for us.

is this the way to do it?

how does that compare to this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91038

so what does putting a style under a parent do exactly? what files do it inherit? how do you change the style for the layout then? where are all the style files at anyway? i looked in my directories....i couldnt find them to edit. are they in the database?

help.

A child inherits all the templates of the parent.

So I guess do you have like a basic NO STYLE template that i can use as the parent? You know what I mean? Like a blank one?

And all these templates need to be templates of the same version of VB that Im using? What about the CSS and stuff? Does that get inherited too?

Where do these templates get stored? In the database...........RIGHT?
