How do I move a thread?
 

Is there a simple way to call a vBulletin function to move a thread, e.g movethread/domovethread?

Or must I do a sql update query to change the forumid and then rebuild thread counter or something? along the lines of https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=117261

Any input would be appreciated

Assuming you have permission, view the thread, and near the top use Thread Tools, selecting Move Thread from the drop down menu. Alternatively, you can view forumdisplay, and use the checkbox to move the thread.

To clarify
I wish to move the thread using a script (and run that via cron), moving a thread at a pre-set time to a pre-set different forum
