Database Error
Hello,
I have yet to experience this error, but my friend e-mailed me saying he got this error after completeing a game and going to save his score. "mySQL query error: SELECT * FROM games_session WHERE sessid= LIMIT 1 mySQL error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 1' at line 1 mySQL error code: Date: Sunday 04th of March 2007 04:01:05 PM" He didn't tell me exactly what game, but it is possible that this error would be game specific? Is it possible this is due to the vB 3.6.5 upgrade? Could it be on his machine only, since no one else at my forum has seen it? I appreciate what you guys have to say. |
It seems he does not have a gamesession saved in his userprofile, which means he tries to cheat or did call the game directly (.swf) ?
He should try again ... and make sure to log into the forum and use the arcade-mainpage to start a game |
Appearently other people are starting to get it too. Should I reinstall the arcade? Could it be game specific? A possible host issue? What are some things I can try to fix this issue?
Thanks |
I think the games are the problem - what about the standard-games that come along with the arcade ?
You have ibProArcade v2.6.1+ ? |
I heard that it happened once on one of the standard games, however it seems that its mostly the games that I've installed since. I reinstalled the arcade and things seem to be working, and let out a notice on my forum to let me know of any errors.

Some of my users is getting this error too. I only have the standard games installed, so far it's happened on Asteroids and Space Invaders.
|
And pacman, getting reports from members that get it while submitting high scores to poacman.
|
I am getting this error also on a clean install of vb3.6.5 and ibProArcade v2.6.1+

Please provide AdminCP+FTP access via PM so I can have a closer look on this ...
|
Ok, I checked the code and now need somebody who actually has this problem and is able to reproduce it.
Please contact me via AdminCP as I need to find the place in the code where this happens... |
