Mod to require reading an announcement or thread?

Is there a mod that will allow me to 'force' users to read an announcement? By force, I mean have it show up when they first log in, then disappear once they have read it.

Just here to say I like the idea.

Even if the member is forced to read it before showing the rest of the board. As in Announcements on a staff board.

I loved this feature back in the old days of BBSes, where you had to page through the announcements before you could even get to the menus.

It would be great to have the user confirm that they have read it, by either clicking a check box or typing in a code, etc.

This could be a great way to announce changes to terms & conditions, etc.

That would be awesome. You'd have a donation from me!

Has anyone been able to take a look at this yet? This would be a wonderful feature.

Rules and User Agreement Hack Is an agreement rules systems, that requires user to agree to each individual forum or/and pages rules within the whole board community “if applicable” prior to permission them to different action (Viewing a Forum, Posting New Thread for the first time, Posting New Thread, Posting Reply).

This will limit the forum breaches that occur often due to unawareness of the rules and agreement. This shall automate the manual procedures that are followed by users to read the “rules and agreement” and will enforce to some extent the users to be aware of rules in place. Moreover this will eliminate the options of any denial by certain users of not being aware of “rules and agreements” being in place for the desired forum.
